Tree Planting
Planting is the one step on a tract you cannot go back and redo. It is worth planning against everything that comes before and after it.
A planting job is easy to price and hard to fix. Spacing, timing and the condition the ground was left in all get locked in the day the crew walks the rows, and you live with the result for the whole rotation.
Which is why we plan planting alongside the treatments around it rather than as a job on its own. If the site preparation has not done its work, planting into it just buys expensive competition. If there is no plan for weed control in the first seasons, survival is left to the weather.
Spacing, stocking and the seedling order are settled with you before a crew is scheduled. Then the crew is coordinated and the planting is supervised, on the same terms as the spray work.
What we look at on the tract
- What the site preparation accomplished, and what came back after it
- Soil, drainage and the wet spots that decide where planting is worth the seedling
- Spacing and stocking target, and what you intend the stand to become
- The competition-control plan for the first growing seasons
- Access for the crew, and where they can get in and out in wet weather
- The planting window the site and the season allow
How the work runs
You get the plan, the spacing, the window and firm pricing in writing before a crew is booked. If the tract is not ready to plant, you will hear that instead — it costs less to be told in December than to find out in July.
The planting crew is coordinated and supervised in the field. Rows, boundaries and any areas being skipped are confirmed on the ground before planting starts, and someone accountable is on site while the work runs.

We walk the tract and record what is actually growing there — species, conditions, access and the timing the site allows.

Prescribe
You get treatment options with the tradeoffs explained, and firm pricing in writing before anything is committed.

Prepare
Products, equipment and crews are lined up for the window we agreed on, and herbicides are mixed on site.

Supervise
Someone accountable is on site while the work runs, confirming treatment areas and answering questions as conditions change.
